As a scholarship student of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), Marina Dimitrova – member of the Eurolex Bulgaria Ltd. team, has graduated with success her specialization on “Applicable law in the field of investments and entrepreneurship”. The courses are held yearly in the IDLO headquarters in Rome, Italy and cover a great deal of topics in the field of the legal regulation of the international investments, including international arbitration, financing, structuring and management of commercial enterprises, public legal partnerships, law on competition, reorganization of commercial companies, etc.

At the end of November 2005 the company has closed a serious deal for purchase of land for a foreign investor into the region of Varna. Before the purchase the land has been a large agricultural airport.

Eurolex Bulgaria has provided a legal advice to the Bulgarian Energy Efficiency Fund (BEEF) in respect of receiving US$ 10,000,000 grant from the Global Environmental Facility/WB through the Ministry of Energy and Energy Resources. Eurolex has also advised BEEF in the negotiations with the future BEEF’s Manager selected through an international tender.

Since March "Eurolex Bulgaria" Ltd. has become a fullmember of Bulgarian-American trade-economic council to the Bulgarian Commerce and Industry Chamber. Bulagrian-American trade-economic council(BATEC) unites persons, representing companyes and institutions, having interest into the sphere of trade-economic relations between Bulgaria and USA, promotes and assists the contacts between business circles of both countries, co-operates for increase of investments in both directions.

Since December “Eurolex Bulgaria” Ltd. has already become a full member of the Bulgarian- Japanese economic council to the Bulgarian Commerce & Industry Chamber. The Bulgarian-Japanese Economic Council /BJEC/ unites persons – representatives of companies and institutions, having interest in the development of the Bulgarian-Japanese relations and the related to them economic relations, promotes and assists the contacts between business spheres of Bulgaria and Japan, exchange of experts, as well as trade co-operation between both countries. The Council collaborates on a reciprocal base with the Japanese-Bulgarian economic council to the Ministry of Economy in Japan and aids in the volume increase of the Japanese investments in Bulgaria.

“Eurolex Bulgaria” has increased its team and we can introduce you the new member – Dimitar Vladimirov, a graduate of Sofia University “St.Kl.Ohridski”. He has joined us in the beginning of November. He has graduated in German language secondary school in city of Varna. Mr. Vladimirov has specialized international law(competition and cartel law) in Hamburg university, as well as other specializations in Bremen university, Germany. Parallel with his education, he has passed through a practice in different programs to the National Assembly of Bulgaria.

We have the pleasure to introduce the new member of our team – Katerina Kaloyanova. She joined us in the beginning of this month. Katerina Kaloyanova graduated law at the Law Faculty of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 2001. She has specialized international trade and business law in TMC Asser Institute, the Hague, the Netherlands. This year she graduated LLM programme on international business law, Central European University, Budapest, Hungary. After her graduation in 2001 she starts working as a parliamentary secretary in the political cabinet of the Minster of Health. In 2003 she becomes a state expert at the International Cooperation and European Integration Directorate, Ministry of Health. Her professional interests are in the fields of private international law, corporate and commercial law, commercial arbitration, European Union law. Excellent in English and good in German language.

Mr. Andrey Delchev was elected member of the Board of Directors of the Association of European Lawers in Europe (ASSOCIATION OF EUROPEAN LAWYERS). In May, “Eurolex Bulgaria” Ltd. became a representative office for the Association in Sofia, Bulgaria. At the present moment, there are lawers’ companies of over 121 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa, America and others, members of the organization.
